It’s bikini season!! I bet your dying to read all about my top bikini secrets. While summer is here and vacations and taunting bikini season are upon us, thats not what I’m actually talking about.
For me looking hotter than all the other girls at the pool has never been a driving factor for me. I think that when you’re lounging at the pool the last thing you should be thinking about is how your thighs are too big and the girl across the lounging area has thighs that don’t touch (sigh). We’re all guilty of it.. Thigh envy, Ab envy, swimsuit envy. The truth is, we are all way too hard on ourselves when it comes to our own stereotypical beauty. Let me remind you that you are beautiful the way you are and you should enjoy your summer soaking up the sun and enjoying being outdoors.
I digress, like I said earlier.. this summer’s social pressures of looking good in a bikini is not what the post is about.
My Bikini Secrets

A long time ago, I started to become obsessed with all things fitness. I started reading fitness magazines such as Oxygen and Strong magazine. I started working out on my own (having no idea what I was doing). I changed my degree to Health and Exercise Science. I got a job at a local gym.
Every aspect of my life started to turn toward fitness and I have been teaching, learning, and pursing fitness ever since. Now, I already told you my secrets..
I have always wanted to compete in a bikini competition, I’ve always wanted to be a fitness model, and I also believed that I could never do either of those. As much as I dedicated my life to fitness, my dreams still seemed so out of reach. It’s a similar feeling of how you feel at the pool during summer when you see that skinny ass girl across the lounging area and her thigh gap is blinding you. You start to feel inadequate and you want to cover yourself in a parka. Well, that’s exactly how I felt about competing in a bikini competition. I thought that there was NO WAY in hell that I could ever look as good as the other girls.
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HER
I have decided to do this competition 100% for me. I need to prove to myself that I can reach my goals and dreams. I want to compete.. not so I can be better than anyone else, but so I can be even better than I ever thought I can be! I want to be a competitor and a fitness model. My entire career I have helped others achieve their goals and I have achieved plenty of my own as well. But, for some reason, I have been hiding under my parka from my top 2 secrets. I want to be a bikini competitor and I want to be a fitness model. Well, I’m stripping the parka off and getting my ass to work! I may not win my first competition (maybe I will ;)) but I will sure as hell work hard to prove myself wrong about my self doubt and I will work to achieve my goals.
